Visa-Free Entry for German Citizens

Until 31 December 2025, nationals of 38 countries, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland, who hold a valid ordinary passport can enjoy visa exemption if the trip is for the following purposes: business activities, tourism, visiting family and friends and transit and the stay lasts a maximum of 30 days after entering the People's Republic of China.

It is explicitly stated that visa requirements remain for citizens of the above-mentioned states if their purposes of travel exceed those mentioned above, if their stay exceeds 30 days, or if they possess an official/service passport (except for Malaysian citizens in this case).
